![]() Even if you don't have the opportunity to speak with someone one-on-one, there is still plenty to be gained from their experiences. While some mentors can be approached one-on-one, some cannot be closed in the same way. As someone who admires their work and profession, you'd be lucky to learn from them. It's possible to have two kinds of mentors. So that they could spend their time building and growing their business, rather than wasting years trying to figure everything out on their own, they found a mentor who helped them understand the business, guided them in their decision making, introduced them to others in the field, and taught them the basics. ![]() In reality, most successful people will tell you that they owe a great deal of success to a mentor who took them under their wing early on. No one has ever made it to the top of their field without the help, influence, and counsel of others around them. The simple truth is that you can't succeed if you're the only one involved. ![]() As a result, we alienate others who may otherwise be able to help us and put ourselves at risk of exhaustion and burnout. When we don't have enough money, we often want to feel in charge and in control rather than relying on others. ![]() Many decisions, actions, and duties need to be completed, and it is up to you to make them all happen. It might seem like you're doing it all on your own in the music industry. ![]()
